GSDM recently participated in the prestigious annual Security and Policing exhibition in Farnborough, hosted by the Joint Security and Resilience Centre (JSaRC) on behalf of the Home Office. The event is considered to be “the cornerstone of the security calendar” and is the only ‘closed’ event of its kind. It offers UK suppliers the opportunity to showcase innovative cutting-edge technology and solutions to national and international government departments and agencies especially.
The GSDM stand was ably manned by Head of Business Development, Rebecca Benfield, together with Head of Strategic Engagement, Nick Slinger, which allowed Director, Katja Samuel, to connect with many of the Government representatives and private sector (especially science and technology) companies present.
Being an exhibitor also meant that Katja was able to make a number of short ‘elevator pitches’ as well as a longer new product/services launch regarding the company’s expertise. This included not only terrorism/counter-terrorism but also the more effective protection of critical national infrastructure through the comprehensive, integrated resilience planning tool that GSDM is currently developing aimed at reducing current levels of public and private sector vulnerability across all sectors, threats and risks.
If you are interested in exploring how GSDM’s approach to resilience planning may be able to assist your organisation, please contact Katja Samuel (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Rebecca Benfield (email@example.com).
