Head of Business Operations
Rebecca is GSDM's Head of Business Operations. In this role she looks after the operational, logistical, financial and administrative aspects of the company, in addition to developing new or existing business relationships and opportunities.
With extensive experience of working in the education, business, and charitable sectors, her most recent roles have included the directorship of a green-energy company, a strategic position with a financial training firm, and trusteeships of charities at home and abroad.
Analytical, attentive, and approachable, Rebecca thrives on building meaningful and enduring professional relationships, developing GSDM’s commercial capabilities, and guiding the company towards its strategic goals in a manner consistent with its core, non-negotiable values. An adept organiser and administrator, Rebecca is also responsible for GSDM’s effective and efficient day-to-day operations.
In these multiple and varied roles, Rebecca is able to draw upon her extensive and diverse professional and personal life experiences. These range from more recently navigating complex investment negotiations and volatile regulatory frameworks whilst managing demanding, often reactive, engineering projects to teaching languages in different challenging educational environments, accompanying her husband on overseas military postings, as well as dealing with children with extreme care and learning needs.
Passionate about investing in people to help them fully realise their potential and dreams, Rebecca is also committed to developing practical solutions to real problems such as social poverty and debt. She has travelled extensively, which has included voluntary work with a charity operating in more volatile parts of the world, specifically the African continent. She has also lived and worked in Italy, Germany and Papua New Guinea. A skilled communicator and an accomplished linguist, she is fluent in French and Italian, with conversational German.
Rebecca enjoys renovating her house, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.
