Jed is an Associate of GSDM. Currently, he is also a Lecturer at The City Law School, City, University of London, where his teaching includes International Law and International Human Rights Law. His research areas encompass Public International Law, the Law of International Organisations, and the practice of international and regional courts. His work currently focuses on the law and practice of EU sanctions and EU cyber security policy.
Jed has extensive research experience in International and European Law. He was awarded a PhD in Law from the University of Leuven in 2016. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Law, Centre of Excellence for International Courts (iCourts) and a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence. He was previously a Research Fellow at the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies, University of Leuven, and a Visiting Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, University of Cambridge. Jed carried out research projects at the Department of Public International Law at the TMC Asser Institute in the Hague and was legal intern at the Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
Before coming to Europe, Jed gained experience at a law firm and an industry association specialising in the field of Employment and Industrial Relations Law in Australia.
